My name is Simon and I love programming, chess, watches, and exploring London, amongst other interests. Welcome to my little corner of the vast internet, where I write about my work, side projects and other interests. I expect updates to be infrequent and to cover a wide range of topics.
I’m a solution engineer at Quantexa where we help companies make the most of their data. Previously I was a research associate at Imperial College quantifying the socioeconomic impact of landslide generated tsunamis to the UK. I hold a PhD in Computational Physics and an MEng in Aeronautics. I am a self-taught hacker, tinkering with computers and Linux since the age of 12.
